Hyundai Staria Electric Now Available for Order Starting at 57,450 Euros

Hyundai is now accepting orders for the Staria Electric. The all-electric minivan starts at 57,450 euros in the “Trend” trim level and combines seating for up to nine passengers with an 84-kWh battery, a 160-kW (218 PS) front-wheel-drive system, and a WLTP range of up to 430 kilometers. Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, the battery is said to be able to charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes at a suitable DC fast-charging station under optimal conditions. The top speed is 184 km/h. With this, Hyundai is positioning the 5.25-meter-long Staria Electric as a spacious alternative for families, shuttle services, and long-distance travelers who enjoy road trips.

And they can haul a lot of stuff, too. With a towing capacity of up to 2,000 kilograms, you can tow horse trailers, boats, or RVs, for example. At the same time, the payload capacity of up to 750 kilograms allows you to transport a large amount of luggage. The roof and support loads, each at 100 kilograms, further expand the vehicle’s versatility, for example, for roof boxes or bike racks. Depending on the seating configuration, there are seven or nine seats, and the cargo area in the nine-seater holds up to 1,303 liters. A 24-liter front trunk complements the storage space.

Three trim levels are available at launch. The Trend trim already includes LED headlights, two 12.3-inch displays, heated front seats, a heat pump, and a battery heater. The Assistance and Premium packages each cost 2,100 euros. The Prime, starting at 63,650 euros, includes both packages as standard and adds, among other things, ventilated front seats and leather upholstery. The top-of-the-line seven-seater version, the Calligraphy, starts at 66,950 euros. It features Nappa leather, a Bose sound system, individual “Relax” seats in the second row, and a digital car key. The Panorama Package costs 1,300 euros for both the Prime and Calligraphy trims. (aum)
