Mazda Museum Reaches Two Million Visitors

The Mazda Museum, located on the factory grounds in Fuchu-cho near Hiroshima, has welcomed its two-millionth visitor. This milestone was reached by a group of 71 fifth-graders from Ohkou Elementary School, who visited the museum as part of a social studies field trip. Mazda President and CEO Masahiro Moro welcomed the children at a ceremony and presented the school with a 1:18 scale model of the Mazda Iconic SP.

The museum opened in May 1994 and chronicles the brand’s development from its beginnings to future mobility concepts. Following renovations in 2005 and 2022, the exhibition places greater emphasis on a contemporary visitor experience, hands-on activities, and the connection to Hiroshima’s industrial heritage. This includes casting workshops for children.

In Germany, Mazda displays up to 60 historic vehicles at the Mazda Classic – Automobil Museum Frey in Augsburg, housed in a former streetcar depot.
