Haval H7: Rugged Design Meets a Digital Driving Experience

Great Wall Motor is expanding its European SUV portfolio with the GWM Haval H7. This midsize SUV combines modern powertrain technologies with off-road capability. It is aimed at customers who value comfort, performance, and versatility in both everyday driving and leisure and outdoor activities. With its rugged design, the Haval H7 specifically complements the existing Haval product line with a model that excels in off-road performance. The European market launch is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.

The GWM Haval H7 follows Great Wall Motor’s “All Scenarios, All Powertrains” product strategy, which offers solutions for a variety of mobility and usage scenarios. As a result, the H7 is available with a wide range of powertrains: In addition to the plug-in hybrid version with Hi4 technology, the lineup also includes a gasoline-powered version with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission. There is also a hybrid variant featuring a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a state-of-the-art DHT hybrid system.

The Hi4 hybrid all-wheel-drive system will make its European debut in the PHEV version of the H7. Developed by Great Wall Motor, the system combines an electrified powertrain with torque distribution, thereby enhancing efficiency as well as traction and driving stability under a wide range of conditions.

With its rugged appearance, this Haval underscores its versatility. Inside, the focus is on spaciousness, comfort, and a digital user experience. This is made possible by the GWM Coffee OS operating system, which offers an intuitive and connected user interface. At the same time, the H7 was developed with high safety standards in mind. This is evidenced by a body structure with a high proportion of high-strength steel as well as modern driver-assistance systems.
