Alfa Romeo launches exclusive Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa
Alfa Romeo has unveiled the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa, a particularly exclusive special edition of its high-performance saloon. The small series, limited to just ten units, was created in cooperation with the Italian America's Cup team Luna Rossa, is largely handcrafted and has already been sold in its entirety. The small series is also the first vehicle from the Bottegafuoriserie project, with which the brand aims to create particularly individual and largely handcrafted models.
The focus is on a technical and design upgrade that makes the Giulia Quadrifoglio even more of a collector's item. A specially developed aerodynamic kit made of carbon fiber includes, among other things, lateral guide profiles at the front, additional elements on the underbody, special side skirts and a modified rear wing. At 300 km/h, the package generates up to 140 kg of downforce, around five times as much as the production model. The final testing of the components took place at the Alfa Romeo test site in Balocco.
Visually, the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa is also closely oriented to the world of top-class sailing. The hand-applied gray paintwork with metallic effect is reminiscent of the Luna Rossa yacht of the America's Cup, complemented by red accents, red-painted 19-inch alloy wheels and modified brand logos with a red background. Visible carbon fiber on the roof, mirror caps and front emblem emphasize the exclusive character.
Parallel to the debut of the special series, the "Preliminary Regatta Sardinia" starts today off Cagliari. The Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa will be on display in the public area of the port until May 24. (aum)
