Mercedes-AMG raises the bar even higher
Mercedes-AMG has set a new benchmark and presented the GT 4-Door Coupé. The high-performance electric saloon is powered by three so-called axial flux motors, which generate a system output of up to 860 kW (1169 hp) in the GT 63. Ideally, the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in 2.1 seconds, while the vehicle only needs 6.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 200 km/h. The top speed is 300 km/h (with Driver's Package). In the "AMG FORCE S+" driving mode - one of seven in total - the GT also delivers a V8 sound typical of the brand, including traction interruption during simulated gear changes. Below this is the GT 55 with a peak output of 600 kW (816 hp).
The all-wheel-drive and all-wheel-steer Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé has a charging capacity of 600 kilowatts, enabling it to recharge for a range of more than 460 kilometers in ten minutes. Two active aerodynamic elements in the underbody lower automatically when required to control the airflow and noticeably increase downforce. The front element extends from 120 km/h, the centrally positioned element from 140 km/h. The retractable rear spoiler changes its angle from 80 km/h depending on the driving situation.
The infotainment system also includes the "AMG Track Pace" software, which records more than 80 vehicle-specific data while driving on the racetrack. Numerous legendary racetracks such as the Nürburgring or Spa-Francorchamps are already stored ex works. It is also possible to record and analyze your own favourite tracks.
Series production of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé is due to start in the summer. Prices start at 154,700 euros for the GT 55 and 196,350 euros for the GT 63. (aum)
