Controlled vehicle behavior under all circumstances

Brembo's Sensify braking platform goes into mass production. The Italian supplier today announced the signing of a contract for the supply of the intelligent braking system for a "global vehicle manufacturer" who wants to equip all variants of a model series with the new braking technology. Brembo is talking about several hundred thousand units per year from this and other supplier contracts.

Designed as a scalable and adaptable solution, Sensify is designed to support a wide range of modern vehicle architectures - from next-generation driver assistance systems to fully autonomous applications. The system distributes intelligence directly to the wheel, eliminating the need for hydraulic lines and central actuators. This approach enables precise and continuous modulation of braking forces at each wheel at all times, supporting stable, controlled vehicle behavior even under complex and highly variable driving conditions.

In the context of the numerous announcements of electromechanical braking (EMB) technologies, Brembo sees its own system as clearly differentiated by the special hardware and flexible software layers. "Sensify translates our vision of an intelligent, integrated braking platform into industrial reality," says Daniele Schillaci, CEO of Brembo. The platform enables manufacturers to provide advanced functions across different vehicle platforms while maintaining scalability, consistency and long-term added value over the entire life cycle, the company praises.
