Porsche is selling its shareholdings in Bugatti Rimac and the Rimac Group. The shares will be sold to a consortium led by HOF Capital, supported by BlueFive Capital and other institutional investors from the USA and Europe. The contracts were signed today (April 24), the closing is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to take place this year. The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details of the transaction.
Porsche and the Rimac Group founded the Bugatti Rimac joint venture in 2021. Porsche held 45 percent of Bugatti Rimac and 20.6 percent of the Rimac Group. "By selling our stake, we are showing that we will focus Porsche on its core business," says Porsche CEO Michael Leiters. After completion, the Rimac Group will take control of the joint venture and drive forward its strategic development together with the new investors. (aum)
