China gets its own ID
Volkswagen has started production of its first model specially developed for China in Hefei. The fully connected ID Unyx 08 was developed in cooperation with Xpeng. The development time for the electric full-size SUV with 800-volt technology was just two years. The ID Unyx 08 is five meters long and will be available in versions with around 230 kW (313 hp) and around 370 kW (503 hp). The range is around 700 kilometers. Another VW model from the "In China, for China" strategy will be launched on the market this year. (aum)
