Jeep Compass driving report: heading upstream

The Jeep Compass bears its name for a reason. Since 2006, the compact SUV has steered the US brand in the Stellantis Group through the competitive terrain of the C-segment. The third generation now clearly points in the direction of electric mobility. For the first time, in addition to a mild and plug-in hybrid variant, there is also a full-time electric vehicle, available in three power levels and with a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The insignia of the SUV cult brand, such as the seven-slot grille and the angular wheel arches, have of course remained. Even more so than its predecessors, however, the new Compass has a much sharper edge, a steep front end and robust shoulder lines. The layout of the rear lights alone looks suspiciously like the Dacia Duster.
