Leapmotor previews new B03X compact model

Leapmotor gave a preview of the new B03X compact model at an event in Guangzhou, China. The electric SUV, which will be called A10 in China, is the first model based on the company's new global A-segment platform. By integrating the latest architecture from Leapmotor, the B03X is said to offer "flagship-level intelligence", the best electric vehicle range in the segment and a flexible space concept. With a length of over 4.20 meters, a width of 1.80 meters and a height of 1.60 meters, it is said to combine the presence of an SUV with the agility of a city vehicle with a wheelbase of more than 2.60 meters.

The B03X also offers state-of-the-art driver assistance systems, an AI-supported cockpit and over-the-air updates over the entire life cycle of the vehicle. The size of the LFP battery is not specified, but thanks to its "extremely high energy density", it should enable a range of 500 kilometers according to the Chinese CLTC measurement cycle. The exterior design includes six colors, sporty 18-inch alloy wheels, semi-concealed door handles and a "floating roof". A characteristic light signature in the form of a smile is intended to ensure immediate recognition. (aum)
