The Volkswagen Transporter has never been so versatile

Compared to its predecessor, the range of body, load compartment and drive combinations has been significantly expanded. The range extends from the panel van in several versions to the platform van with crew cab and the high-quality Caravelle Style.

Efficient turbo diesel engines, electric variants and a plug-in hybrid are available. Many models are also available with all-wheel drive (4Motion). Since its launch at the beginning of 2025, the new generation has successfully established itself thanks to its wide range and improved features. A five-year new vehicle warranty and one of the densest service networks in Europe round off the range.

13 body variants: The Transporter is an all-rounder for payloads of up to 1.33 tons. Depending on the wheelbase, two or three Euro pallets can fit in the load compartment - or a complete set of workshop equipment with 230-volt connection. Depending on the version, there is space for up to nine people on board.

The basis for this variety is formed by 13 body versions:
Panel van (up to three seats) with normal roof (5.8 m³) or high roof (9.0 m³), panel van Plus (up to six seats), panel van with L-shaped partition (up to five seats), glazed estate (up to nine seats), platform van with 4.2 m² load area and crew cab (six seats) as well as the Caravelle for passenger transport (up to nine seats). All models are available with a normal or extended wheelbase, the platform van always with a long wheelbase.

The standard digital cockpit is designed for the mobile workplace. An optional digital interior mirror, which transmits the camera image of the rear to the display and thus enables a view to the rear even when the body is closed, ensures greater safety.

Eleven drive options: The basis is an 81 kW (110 PS) TDI with manual transmission. A 110 kW TDI (150 hp), optionally with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a 125 kW top diesel (170 hp) with automatic transmission as standard are also available. The 110 and 125 kW TDIs can alternatively be combined with 4Motion all-wheel drive; in these cases, the automatic transmission is always on board.

Up to 2.8 tons towing capacity: even the basic version with 81 kW can tow up to 2,000 kg (braked, twelve percent gradient). From 110 kW, the towing capacity increases to up to 2,800 kg - depending on the model. The plug-in hybrid can manage up to 2,300 kg. The electric versions and the Caravelle tow up to 2,300 kg, the platform truck with crew cab up to 2,000 kg.

58 paint colors; VWN also offers a maximum choice of colors. Four solid colors are available as standard for the Transporter and Caravelle. In addition, there are five metallic paints and 49 special colors to match the corporate design of companies. (aum)
