The Cadillac Optiq brings all-electric luxury to Europe

With the all-electric Optiq, Cadillac is expanding its European portfolio with a compact luxury SUV that takes design, technology and comfort to a new level. As the entry-level model into the electric Cadillac world, the Optiq combines sporty dynamics with a striking presence and generous space - ideally tailored to the requirements of European customers. In Germany, it is available in the Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trim levels from 65,000 euros.

The coupé-like silhouette of a performance vehicle meets the presence of an SUV. Aerodynamic elements such as the diffuser and roof spoiler emphasize the sporty appearance and improve efficiency. Inside, the occupants can expect a progressive, luxurious ambience with plenty of space. The introduction of the Optiq follows the growing interest in compact electric luxury vehicles. It complements the European Cadillac EV portfolio, which already includes the Lyriq, the sporty Lyriq-V and the Vistiq.

Powered by a 75-kWh battery pack and dual-motor all-wheel drive as standard, the Optiq delivers 224 kW (304 hp) and 480 Nm of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in Sport mode takes 6.3 seconds, with a top speed of 184 km/h. The WLTP range is up to 425 kilometers.

Further equipment features include:

Regen On Demand: a pressure-sensitive shift paddle on the steering wheel enables deceleration to a standstill and recuperation at the driver's request.

One-Pedal-Driving: Acceleration and deceleration exclusively via the accelerator pedal, including energy recuperation.

DC fast charging: Up to 144 kilometers range in 15 minutes at public fast-charging stations.

Driving modes: Tour, Sport, Snow/Ice and My Mode with individual settings for steering and braking behavior.

21-inch alloy wheels with 275/40 R21 tires: Premium Luxury with Pearl Nickel rims, Premium Sport with Dark Android rims.

Brembo high-performance brakes: 508 mm fixed calliper discs at the front and 432 mm floating calliper discs at the rear for superior deceleration.

In the interior, Cadillac relies on materials that combine sustainability and luxury. The center console is made of "PaperWood", a composite of tulip wood and recycled newspaper. This is complemented by "Tide", a soft polyester fabric made from 100 percent recycled material. Together, these materials create a warm, modern atmosphere - complemented by a 33-inch curved LED display with 9K resolution.

The Cadillac Optiq will be available to order in Germany, France, Sweden and Switzerland from October 15, 2025. The first deliveries are scheduled for February 2026. (aum)
