New online journal with views, insights and perspectives

Whether text, photo, podcast, reel, TV test or footage and teaser - "Auto-Motive" is now launching an online journal that sheds light on many aspects of mobility as well as the way this topic is communicated. The new internet medium is aimed at journalists, editors, opinion leaders and all interested parties who appreciate well-founded information and a platform that inspires, with views, insights and perspectives.

Auto-Motive aims to reach the creators of media and opinions interactively: as a multifunctional newsletter that optimizes topicality, relevance and the authors' expertise attractively for TV screens, monitors, tablets and smartphones. The journal offers a reliable preparation of current topics, as is familiar from the journalists of the Autoren-Union Mobilität. Just like them, the journal reaches media makers directly and also has all Internet users in mind: https://auto-motive.net.

The example of the online news agency Auto-Medienportal is a good example of where this type of distribution leads. The number of readers (unique users) of this information portal - once designed for a small number of editors and insiders - has almost tripled to around one million since January 2025.

The two publishers and editors of the journal, Peter Schwerdtmann, founder of the Auto-Medienportal in 2003, and Walther Wuttke, Managing Director of Autoren-Union Mobilität, believe that the new journal will also be successful far beyond its core target group thanks to this trend towards the privatization of information.

"After the first online publication, we are now expecting reactions and suggestions that we can incorporate into number 2 and the following issues," says Peter Schwerdtmann. "That's the advantage of the web: We are flexible at all times, but not when it comes to quality issues." Walther Wuttke also wants to use this flexibility for rapid growth: "We are not only open to suggestions, but also to partnerships that help us to develop our content and enable us to expand our offering.

The journal can be updated on an ongoing basis if required. The publishers want to release a completely new issue every four weeks. But the two journalists have hardly chosen to classify their new medium as a journal at random. They both have a history as editors of daily newspapers and therefore have a very close relationship to topicality and thus to a faster rhythm. (aum)
