When the first Chinese cars rolled onto the international markets a few years ago, the established manufacturers could still sit back and smile - the "China bangers" only found a clientele in emerging markets at best, and in Western markets even the lowest prices could not convince people. This had consequences, and in China, largely unnoticed by the rest of the automotive world at first, companies emerged that focused on electromobility.
