Chery Germany boss Xin Wu: "We are not a low-cost provider"

Only 28 years old, Chery is one of the established Chinese manufacturers and has been the largest car exporter in the People's Republic for years. Since 2024, the Group has been active in the European markets of Spain, Italy, Poland and the UK. In Turkey, the brand captured a five percent market share from a standing start. European production is planned at the former Nissan factory in Barcelona. After the IAA in Munich in September, Chery will also enter the German market with the two brands Omoda and Jaecoo. Walther Wuttke spoke to Xin Wu, Head of Chery Germany, about the plans for the latest Chinese addition.
