Porsche has taken a big risk with the new Macan: It is only available in Germany as a fully electric model. This has not gone down as well with customers as Zuffenhausen had hoped. The company is now thinking about launching another model with a plug-in hybrid, i.e. with a gasoline engine and an electric motor. This is because the last old Macan with a combustion engine was virtually snatched out of dealers' hands. Porsche customers are still unfamiliar with the electric drive.
