After eight years, Govecs has further developed the L3e version of the E-Schwalbe - the counterpart to the 125cc class. The electric light scooter with the iconic design from Suhl has been given a slightly more powerful and efficient drive in the second model generation and the batteries have been moved to a different location. The 48-volt motor delivers six kW (8 hp) of continuous power and 8.5 kW (12 hp) of peak power. The top speed is still 90 km/h. Thanks to new battery technology and two removable batteries in the central tunnel, efficiency is increased by 20 percent and the standard range from 90 to just under 130 kilometers. The batteries can be recharged to 80 percent of their capacity in two hours.
The new E-Schwalbe has three riding modes and active recuperation, which can be controlled via the "throttle grip" and works like an engine brake. A five-inch color display serves as the instrument display. Thanks to the relocation of the battery to the center tunnel, there is now also a five-liter storage compartment under the seat. The scooter can also be connected to a smartphone app.
For a short time, the new E-Schwalbe 90 is available at an introductory price of 8990 euros. (aum)
