Rally updates for the Toyota GR Yaris

Toyota has once again further developed its GR Yaris road sports car. Numerous experiences gained by the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) have been incorporated into the update. Among other things, a vertical handbrake system is now available for the new model year, which customers with either a manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission can opt for at an additional cost.

The latter has also been optimized by a new gear selection control setup, especially for sporty driving. To improve the driving experience when braking and accelerating with both feet, the footrest has been enlarged. New steering response and better directional stability have also been achieved through the use of special bolts with greater rigidity. And for more control and driving comfort, both the shock absorbers and the electric power steering have been modified.

In addition, the most popular extra, the former "Convenience Package", consisting of a JBL sound system with eight loudspeakers as well as reversing assist with cross-traffic alert and brake assist, is now standard on all GR Yaris variants. The revised GR Yaris will be available to order from April 30 at prices starting from 51,990 euros. (aum)
