US tariffs and combustion engine ban: Mahle in a quandary

The current crisis in the automotive industry has not left Mahle unscathed: Last year, the automotive supplier fell one billion euros short of the record figure set in 2023. With revenue of 11.7 billion euros (-5.6 percent), Mahle nevertheless achieved a return on sales of 3.6 percent. "We only achieved this because we worked on our efficiency in all areas, starting with the Management Board," said CEO Arnd Franz on the sidelines of the annual press conference in Stuttgart. As a result, the globally operating group with its 67,708 employees was able to generate an operating profit of 304 million euros.
