Yamaha takes over Brose's e-bike drive business

Yamaha Motor is taking over Brose's e-bike drive business. Subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities, the Japanese company intends to use the development resources of the mechatronics specialist to further optimize the planning and design of new products. At the same time, Yamaha plans to set up its own development base in Europe in order to identify market requirements more quickly and win new customers.

For global automotive supplier Brose, headquartered in Coburg, Franconia, the sale is part of its strategic realignment to focus on its core business. (aum)
