Production of the Jeep Avenger 4xe started

The Stellantis plant in Tychy, Poland, has started production of the all-wheel drive Jeep Avenger 4xe. The first vehicle to roll off the production line was a model from The North Face Edition special series, limited to 4806 units. The four-wheel drive Avenger is also available in the Upland and Overland trim levels.

All versions are equipped with a 48-volt hybrid system that combines a 136 hp (100 KW) 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with two 21 kW electric motors on the front and rear axles. This configuration provides variable all-wheel drive and is coupled with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that enables the vehicle to drive in electric mode at low speeds. Prices start from 33,600 euros for the Upland equipment variant.

The plant in Tychy is the world's only manufacturer of the Jeep Avenger, but also produces other Stellantis models there, such as the Alfa Romeo Junior, Fiat 600 and Lancia Ypsilon. Last year, 224,017 cars left the factory halls there. (aum)
