More diesel boost for the Peugeot Landtrek

Peugeot has redesigned its Landtrek. The pick-up, which the French company offers in around 40 countries, primarily in Africa, the Middle East and South America, has a redesigned vertical radiator grille with LED daytime running lights in the shape of the brand's typical claws. As a single cab with a length of 5.39 meters and a double cab with a length of 5.33 meters, it is available with three engines for commercial or private use, depending on the market. These include a 1.9-liter diesel engine with 150 hp (110 kW) and 6-speed manual transmission and a 2.4-liter petrol engine with 210 hp (154 kW), optionally with manual or automatic transmission. The 2.2-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel with 200 hp (147 kW) and 450 Nm torque, eight-speed automatic transmission EAT8 and permanent all-wheel drive, which is familiar from the passenger car models, is new.

In this configuration, the Landtrek is also equipped with numerous new assistance systems, including automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go function and blind spot detection. A 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless smartphone connection also come as standard.

In addition to its off-road qualities, including 60 centimetres of fording depth and 21.4 to 23.5 centimetres of ground clearance, the pick-up can load up to 1400 kilograms and tow 3.5 tons with the new diesel engine. The maximum towing capacity for the other engines is 3000 kilograms. The Landtrek is not available to order in Germany. (aum)
