DS plays it safe
DS is playing it safe: with the presentation of a new so-called SUV coupé announced for this year, the brand is adding the term number in front of the model designation. The all-electric novelty will bear the name DS N° 8, pronounced "DS Numéro Huit" in French. The eight is new in the model series designations.
In addition to the brand logo on the front of the vehicle, the new design also includes the full DS Automobiles lettering at the rear together with the model name. The superscript "°" is designed like a diamond - the manufacturer calls it a "diamond point" - which stands for the premium claim. And for the interior design of the new top model, the PR department promises a "clarity" inspired by water sports. Rarely has the continuation of the dashboard into the door panels been as concise as in the DS N° 8. (aum)
