Peugeot's hybrid fleet: Electrified entrances

Peugeot has introduced further new electric models this year, including the E-3008 and the E-5008. By 2030, the entire European range is to consist solely of electric vehicles. However, the e-market is tricky and customers are currently struggling with the all-electric models. However, the French have (even) more arrows in their quiver: new hybrid and plug-in hybrid models from the familiar model ranges are intended to make it easier to get started with electromobility. We took a closer look at the lion brand's electrified drive variants.

Peugeot is driving forward the electrification of its models and now offers hybrid and plug-in hybrid drives for almost every model series. The 48-volt mild hybrid, such as in the 3008 Hybrid 136 e-DSC6, combines a 136 hp three-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor (21 hp) and promises fuel savings of up to 15 percent.

In contrast, the plug-in hybrid models focus more strongly on electric mobility. With a purely electric range of around 50 kilometers and low standard fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, they are also attractive for company car drivers. This is doubly true for the second generation, which will follow from 2025 with a larger battery and electric ranges of up to 85 kilometers. (aum)
