Alpine A110 S as a work of art
Alpine presented its Art Car 2024 in Paris: The A110 Monochromatic was created in collaboration with photographer Mathieu Cesar. This is the fourth consecutive year that the French sports car brand has entered into an artistic collaboration. The black and white Alpine A110 S was unveiled at an evening event staged by Cesar in the presence of brand ambassador Zinedine Zidane.
The Monochromatic project aims to transform the car into a work of art by limiting the use of color. The simplicity and purity of black and white and the palette of gray and chrome tones highlight every line and detail. While the front and rear sections are finished in glossy black, the transition areas are finished in shades of white. Inside the A110 Monochromatic, the white upper section contrasts with the black lower section. The backrests and door panels convey lightness and transparency thanks to 3D printing. The white and black upholstery refers to the color gradient of the exterior. Aluminum elements such as the decor on the console, a name badge and special door sills complete the interior design.
Mathieu Cesar is known for his black and white portraits in a retro-futuristic style and is considered a master of lighting. And the photographer has been a car fan all his life. During the collaboration, Mathieu Cesar also captured the Alpine in photographs and a film that play with light and shadow on the bodywork. (aum)
