With the EV6 and EV9, Kia has made its mark in terms of design and technology in electric mobility. With the EV3, the Koreans now have to show that they can also hold their own in the highly competitive compact segment against rivals such as the VW ID 3, Volvo EX30 and the upcoming Skoda Elroq. The recent win of the "Golden Steering Wheel" is not undeserved. After the first test laps with the monolithically designed crossover, the assessment is largely positive - with the exception of the well-known Stromer handicap: the hefty prices.
Thomas Djuren, Managing Director of Kia Germany, believes that the EV3's design, long range and short charging times will "encourage many people who have been hesitant to switch to e-mobility". However, with entry-level prices of between 35,990 and 48,690 euros, the EV3, which will be rolling into dealerships from mid-November, is on a par with the competitors mentioned above. And with desirable options such as a head-up display, heated glass sunroof, reclining seats, several assistance and parking systems as well as colored paint finishes other than white, you can quickly add up to another 10,000 euros. So why should buyers choose the Kia EV3 of all cars? (aum)
