The VW Group makes a profit of almost 13 billion euros

Thanks to volume-related increases in the financial business, the Volkswagen Group increased sales in the first three quarters of the year by around 2.2 billion euros to 237.3 billion euros compared to the same period of the previous year. Turnover in the Automotive Division fell slightly by one percent. Vehicle sales fell by four percent to 6.5 million units. In Western Europe, deliveries fell only slightly by one percent, in China the decline amounted to twelve percent. In North and South America, however, sales increased. Profit amounted to 12.9 billion euros after 16.2 billion euros in the first nine months of the previous year (minus 21 percent). (aum)
