Honda is giving the CMX 1100 Rebel a little more power for the next season. It will increase slightly from 87 hp (64 kW) to 88 hp (65 kW), with the torque of up to 98 Newton meters still being increased, particularly in the lower and medium speed range. The higher compression ratio is intended to improve smooth running and responsiveness. A five-inch TFT screen with Android Auto and Apple Carplay replaces the previous LCD circular instrument and has three display graphics. The USB port has been moved from its place under the seat bench up next to the display.
Honda has also responded to customer feedback and tweaked the ergonomics: The seat has been given a one centimeter thicker cushion. The handlebars are now significantly further back and over a centimeter higher, and the footrests have been moved a little further forward. Another new addition to the range is the CMX 1100 SE, which comes with handlebar end mirrors and a number of accessories as standard. The DCT models of the Rebel will also be equipped with Honda's dual-clutch transmission, which has been refined for the new model year and offers better response at slower speeds. (aum)
