Paris 2024: And the next revival
Renault has only just presented the R 5 E-Tech Electric to the press, followed by the world premiere of the R 4 E-Tech Electric at the Paris Motor Show (-20.10.). Here and there, the French brand is reviving its own history and transferring classics from its model history into the electric age. However, the sequence of numbers is slightly reversed here. The 4.14-meter-long R 4 is slightly larger than the R 5, with which it shares the platform. Among other things, it surprises with a trunk volume of 420 liters and a flat-folding front passenger seat. Family-friendliness and practicality are at the forefront of the specification - just like its famous predecessor from the 1960s.
Two battery sizes are available (Urban Range and Comfort Range) as well as the two power levels 90 kW (122 PS) and 110 kW (150 PS). Renault states a range of up to 400 kilometers. The speed is limited at 150 km/h. Depending on the model version, there is an electric folding roof and driving programs for slippery surfaces. Bidirectional charging is possible.
The R 4 is due to be launched on the French market this year. Germany and the UK are set to follow next year. (aum)
