Paris 2024: Another newcomer from China

With the Aion V, the Chinese state-owned company GAC is bringing its first car to Europe. The 4.60 meter long SUV celebrates its premiere today at the Paris Motor Show (-20.10.). The design of the latest newcomer from China does not deviate from the internationally accepted design language in this segment and fits seamlessly into the street scene. Depending on the variant, GAC promises an electric range of up to 750 kilometers and a consumption of 12.8 kWh per 100 kilometers.

The Aion V uses 400-volt technology developed by GAC, with which it should be possible to charge up to 370 kilometers in 15 minutes. The 800-volt technology has been developed and will follow later. Before the start of series production, the Aion V was tested in 28 cities worldwide and presented to around 10,000 experts and potential customers. The newcomer will initially be offered in smaller European markets. GAC is not planning to launch it in Germany until the end of next year and will then offer two other models in addition to the Aion. In any case, the brand is already looking for dealers on its website. (aum)
