Decline in sales at the VW Group

The Volkswagen Group delivered 6.52 million vehicles (including trucks and buses) worldwide in the first nine months of this year. This is 2.89 percent less than in the first three quarters of the previous year. Smaller and larger declines in Europe (minus 0.9 percent) and the important Chinese market (-10.2 percent) could not fully compensate for the growth in North and South America of 7.4 and 14.6 percent respectively. In Germany, new registrations were 1.6% lower than in the same period last year.

The Group brands Skoda, Seat/Cupra and Lamborghini as well as Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles have recorded growth since the beginning of the year. (aum)
