Hyundai cracks the 100 million mark

Hyundai celebrates the production of over 100 million vehicles worldwide. The company, which was founded 57 years ago, passed the milestone with an Ioniq 5 N Line, which was built at the Ulsan plant in South Korea and honored at a ceremony. The one hundred millionth car, also a model from the series, was handed over to a customer directly on site The production facility, which was commissioned in 1968, was also the first factory in the country to build the first independent model from Korea, the Hyundai Pony, in 1975. A production facility for future electric cars is currently being built there.

The number of vehicles built by Hyundai has doubled in the past eleven years. There are also plants in the USA, Turkey, India and the Czech Republic. (aum)
