Hyundai and Iveco present electric vans for Europe

Hyundai has presented the first vehicle from its global eLCV platform for the European markets with Iveco. The "eMoovy" combines Hyundai's platform based on an electric chassis with Iveco's body. The electric van uses Hyundai's electric and battery management system, which is familiar from the Ioniq models. It therefore has an 800-volt system for ultra-fast charging, with which the 76.1 kWh battery can be charged in ten minutes for a range of 100 kilometers. Hyundai specifies a maximum WLTP range of 320 kilometers.

The "eMoovy" also offers the "Vehicle-to-Load" function (V2L), which can be used to power external electric devices and is aimed at multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs). The interior is based on the Hyundai Staria and is equipped with various comfort functions and a clear display. The vehicle also features driver assistance systems such as Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keeping Assist and Park Assist.

Since the start of their partnership in 2022, Hyundai and Iveco unveiled the first fuel cell electric vehicle Iveco eDaily at the last IAA Transportation, followed by the Iveco BUS E-WAY H2 at Busworld 2023. In 2024, they announced a supply agreement for an Iveco-branded eLCV for Europe and signed a Memorandum of Understanding to research electric heavy-duty truck solutions for the European market.
