IAA Transportation: VW ID Buzz program rounded off at the top and bottom

In addition to the new Transporter, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) is presenting other new models at the IAA Transportation. The ID Buzz range has been expanded both upwards and downwards. In addition to the 210 kW (286 hp) ID Buzz Pro models with normal wheelbase and 79 kWh battery, the 210 kW ID Buzz with long wheelbase and large 86 kWh battery and a range of up to 487 km as well as the two 250 kW (340 hp) ID. Buzz GTX models with all-wheel drive are now available to order.

The 250 kW ID Buzz Cargo 4Motion with a 79 kWh battery and a range of up to 432 km is also available for the first time with all-wheel drive instead of rear-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive also increases the towing capacity of the ID Buzz models from 1200 to up to 1800 kilograms. The ID Buzz Pure, the ID Buzz Freestyle and the ID Buzz Cargo Pure with 125 kW (170 PS) and 59 kW battery will round off the lower end of the range in future. The latter starts at 42,710 euros (net) in Germany. Also at the IAA, VWN is presenting an ID Buzz Cargo as a refrigerated vehicle from the German body manufacturer Wükaro. The combination of electric drive and electric refrigeration is a novelty.

The Multivan e-Hybrid 4Motion with plug-in hybrid all-wheel drive is also celebrating its premiere in Hanover. The 245 hp (180 kW) hybrid drive temporarily turns the Multivan van into an electric car for everyday use, as it can cover long distances purely electrically thanks to a 19.7 kWh battery. Also on display at the VWN stand is the new California based on the Multivan, the further developed Crafter in various versions as well as the new Caddy eHybrid and the new Caddy "Flexible" equipment version.
