Hyundai and GM want to examine strategic cooperation

Hyundai and GM have signed a letter of intent for potential cooperation in key strategic areas. The focus is on the joint development and production of passenger and commercial vehicles, combustion engines as well as clean energy, electric and hydrogen technologies. Both companies expect to reduce their costs and be able to offer a broader range of vehicles and technologies more quickly.

Joint procurement of battery raw materials and steel will also be examined. The framework agreement was signed by Euisun Chung, Chairman of the Board of Hyundai Motor Group, and GM CEO Mary Barra. (aum)
