Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale: From the bottega to the road
With the 33 Stradale, Alfa Romeo recalls the legendary sports car of the same name from the 1960s. The 33 units built for a wealthy clientele have already been allocated. Like its historic predecessor, the new edition of the two-seater is also a racing car approved for road use, for the development of which a new department with the sober title "Bottega" was created at the Alfa Romeo factory museum in Arese. Work is already underway there on other, currently top secret, products.
The future owners of the 33 Stradale were involved in the development of the super sports car from the very beginning. In 2022, the model was shown for the first time at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, and a few weeks later all 33 planned examples were sold. Alfa Romeo is keeping quiet about the price, but at least three million euros are likely to change hands. And since the employees in the Bottega are quite prepared to fulfill the one or other special request, the sum can easily be raised.
The 33 Stradale is powered by either a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine with 620 hp (456 kW) or an electric motor with all-wheel drive and 552 kW (750 hp) of power. Alfa Romeo promises a range of around 450 kilometers. The top speed for both variants is 333 km/h. The time between 0 and 100 km/h is less than three seconds in both cases. (ww)
