With the new Symbioz, Renault is closing the gap between the Captur and Austral. The compact SUV follows in the tradition of the legendary R 16, which entered the mid-size class more than 60 years ago with a completely new concept. With its large tailgate and variable interior, the saloon was particularly popular with families. The new Symbioz is also intended to score points with families and fleet customers, which is why the marketing lyricists gave the new compact car the Franco-German slogan "Voiture à vivre for family and business".
The 4.41 meter long and 1.5 ton Symbioz uses the Group's proven hybrid technology, which is already used in the Dacia Jogger and Duster. In the Symbioz, the combination of 1.6-liter combustion engine and electric drive achieves a system output of 143 hp (105 kW), which enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds. The top speed is reached at 170 km/h.
In city traffic, the Symbioz is predominantly electric when driven appropriately, and with a WLTP consumption of 4.7 liters per 100 kilometers, a range of around 1000 kilometers is theoretically possible on one tank of fuel. After an initial test lap, the on-board computer showed 5.3 liters. The price list for the Symbioz starts at 32,500 euros. (aum)
