Yanfeng wants to do everything differently in the interior

Since the introduction of electric cars, the powertrain has undergone massive changes, but the interior is largely similar to that of vehicles with a combustion engine. The Chinese automotive supplier Yanfeng has put a lot of thought into this and developed a pioneering concept that will not only improve functionality in the future, but also revolutionize the design of the interior. We have already had the opportunity to take a closer look at the EVI concept (Electric Vehicle Interior) and sit in it for a test drive.

The avant-garde study is only remotely reminiscent of what has gone before in automotive engineering. Everything is reduced to the essentials. There is no conventional cockpit. Instead, a small display extends from the center console, which also serves as a steering wheel. Yanfeng has also rethought some of the seats.

Some well-known manufacturers are said to have already expressed their interest. (aum)
