Continental examines spin-off of the Automotive division

"Against the background of the increasing market dynamics in the automotive sector", as it says, the Executive Board of Continental has decided to further examine the spin-off of the Automotive sector in detail. A decision is to be made by the end of the year. The tire manufacturer expects the split into two independent companies to offer more growth potential for both divisions.

If approved by the Annual General Meeting in April 2025, the spin-off could be completed by the end of next year. The highly profitable Tires and Conti-Tech business units would remain under the Continental umbrella in the event of a split. (aum)
