Seat continues profitability

Seat continues on its path to sustainable profitability with the best financial result for a first half of the year. The company increased sales by 4.6 percent to 7.75 billion euros compared to the first six months of the previous year and achieved an operating profit of 406 million euros (plus 9.4 percent). The return on sales rose by 0.2 percentage points to 5.2 percent. This success was primarily driven by a 13.8 percent increase in sales figures. Seat (+11.4 %) and Cupra (+17.2 %) each share roughly half of the total of almost 297,500 deliveries.

The bestseller is the Cupra Formentor with almost 62,000 units. Germany remains the brand's most important market with 42,000 vehicles delivered (+30%), followed by the UK (13,900 units / +22%) and Spain (12,900 vehicles / +13%). The most successful Seat in its 40th anniversary year is the Ibiza with 56,300 sales, an increase of 29% on the previous year. Spain remains the most important customer with 36,200 deliveries (+2%), followed by Germany (35,200 new registrations / +26%) and the UK (21,300 vehicles / +34%). (aum)
