Ari Motors, previously better known for smaller electric commercial vehicle solutions, is entering the 3.5-ton class with its latest model. There will also be a version with a gross vehicle weight rating of 4.25 tons. The Ari 1710 panel van offers up to 12 cubic meters of loading volume and a payload of up to 1.5 tons.
The large electric transporter has a peak output of 115 kW (156 hp), delivers 350 Newton meters of torque and reaches a top speed of 100 km/h. The two lithium iron phosphate batteries come from the manufacturer CATL and are available with capacities of 77 kWh and 101 kWh. This results in standard ranges of up to 279 kilometers and 415 kilometers respectively. Thanks to the quick-charging function, the battery can be recharged to 80 percent in around 45 minutes. A full charge takes around eight hours at conventional wallboxes.
The Ari 1710 is equipped with cruise control, driver and passenger airbags, digital displays with touchscreen radio and reversing camera, among other features. As an option, the van can be equipped with a vehicle-to-load function with a 230-volt socket and an output of 3.3 kW. The interior can be fitted with various floor coverings. A load compartment extension including access handles, LED light strip, wooden interior trim and lashing rails is also available. A trailer coupling with a towing capacity of 1.5 tons will also be available shortly.
Ari offers a warranty of four years or 60,000 kilometers on the vehicle and eight years or 400,000 kilometers on the batteries. (aum)
