Skoda Elroq in camouflage outfit at the Tour de France

Surprise at the finish of the 111th Tour de France. A Skoda Elroq accompanied the cycling elite during the final time trial. However, as the official world premiere will not take place until the fall, the brand's new battery-electric model made its first public appearance in camouflage. The Czech car manufacturer has been supporting the legendary France France for 21 years. As part of the partnership, which has been extended until 2028, Skoda is providing an official fleet of vehicles, among other things.

In addition, the Skoda Design Team designed the winner's trophy made of crystal glass for the 14th time, which was awarded to overall Tour winner Tadej Pogačar. It is 60 centimeters high and weighs five kilograms. The green trophy for the winner of the points classification was presented to Biniam Girmay by Skoda Auto CEO Klaus Zellmer. Škoda Auto currently sponsors 20 cycling highlights. Since 2022, for example, also at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. This year, the women's Tour of France starts on August 12 in Rotterdam and ends after eight stages on August 18 in Alpe d'Huez. (aum)
