Mahle is a partner of electromobility

Mahle Aftermarket is ready for e-mobility. Mahle's Aftermarket spare parts and services division is increasingly gearing up for e-mobility. The range for the diagnosis and maintenance of battery-powered vehicles, which is bundled in the Battery Pro product line, is being continuously expanded. The automotive supplier's Aftermarket division was also an important pillar of the Group last year, with new record sales of almost 1.3 billion euros.

"The future clearly belongs to e-mobility - on the road and in the workshop. However, the combustion engine will continue to play an important role in many parts of the world for quite some time. With renewable fuels, it can quickly have a lasting impact on climate protection," says Philipp Grosse Kleimann, member of the Group Executive Board and Head of the Aftermarket business division. "We will be a reliable and strong full-service provider for our customers worldwide for every type of drive."

With the Battery Pro line and its five product groups E-Safety, E-Scan, E-Health, E-Care and E-Charge, the company is broadly positioned and offers independent workshops a complete range for work on electric vehicles. "Battery service is becoming increasingly important. The newly developed Battery Pro products are the start of a new generation of diagnostic and service solutions for electric vehicles that cover the entire life cycle from diagnosis to maintenance," explains Georges Mourad, Director Global Service Solutions at Mahle Aftermarket.

For example, the products monitor the safety of high-voltage and 12-volt batteries, read error codes, assist with draining and refilling the battery cooling circuit and detect possible leaks. It is important to Mahle to develop devices that are as simple and effective to operate as possible.

With the latest E-Health Charge product, any workshop can determine the condition and remaining capacity of an electric car's high-voltage battery. This is also important information for determining the purchase price of used e-vehicles. Interested buyers can quickly and easily find out how powerful the battery of a used e-vehicle still is, for example during a test drive in a workshop using the device from Mahle, which has been on the market for three months.
