Yamaha is changing the new drive of its two pedelecs Crosscore RC and Wabash RT for next year. They will get the PW S2 instead of the previous PW-ST. This increases the power from 70 Newton meters to 75 Nm with a 16 percent lighter motor. This benefits not least the performance of the Wabash RT gravel bike on gravel. The new motor also allows the installation of shorter bottom brackets, which benefits comfort and efficiency.
The frame geometry of the Wabash RT (Road and Trail) has also been changed to optimize handling off the tarmac. The new color is the natural Shasta Gray.
The Crosscore RC (Road and City) is primarily aimed at city dwellers and commuters and will be equipped with a luggage rack and MIK click system as standard, making it easier to carry a child seat, for example. There are also two new colors, Starbright and Platinum Bronze.
Yamaha has not yet announced the prices. (aum)
