Skoda Enyaq ends up in museum after Africa tour

The two Dutch globetrotters Renske Cox and Maarten van Pel Menschen drove more than 33,000 kilometers through Africa last year in an only slightly modified Skoda Enyaq. With their tour, the two adventurers want to encourage sustainable travel. The yellow Enyaq has now been taken over by the Skoda Museum in Mladá Boleslav, where it will initially be on display in an exhibition from July 10 to September 30. The two Dutchmen returned home with a new Enyaq 85x Laurin & Klement, which was handed over to them at the car manufacturer's customer center.

For the Africa tour, the duo converted the rear section of the Enyaq to be able to carry even more luggage. They also added a roof tent and off-road tires for better traction off-road. The photovoltaic set played an important role. Renske Cox and Maarten van Pel took foldable solar panels with a total surface area of 60 square meters with them - they supplied 54 percent of the energy required over the course of the 33,360-kilometre tour across Africa. More information about the trip can also be found on the website www.skoda-storyboard.com. (aum)
