Xpeng G6: The third in the group

Xpeng is adding a third model to its range with the G6, which will be arriving at dealerships in August. With its design, the SUV coupé adapts to the usual design language in this segment and achieves a drag coefficient of 0.248, which translates into a pleasantly discreet acoustic atmosphere while driving. The driver behind the wheel looks at a tidy information center. The most important driving information can be called up via the 10.2-inch screen positioned in front of the driver. A 14.96-inch screen is available for all other functions. As usual with Xpeng, software updates are updated "over the air".

The brand specialists have used high-quality materials in the interior and have obviously taken great care in doing so. The SUV coupé comes with rear-wheel drive and two battery sizes as standard. The smaller battery has a capacity of 66 kWh, while the larger battery has a capacity of 87.5 kWh and can be combined with all-wheel drive. The ranges are between 435 and 570 kilometers for the rear-wheel drive models. The all-wheel drive variant has a range of 550 kilometers. The electric motors deliver between 190 kW (258 PS) and 350 kW (476 PS).

The chassis of the G6, which is already fully equipped in the basic version, is tuned for comfort and irons out the shortcomings of the infrastructure well, so that the occupants are largely spared the consequences of potholes. The price list depends on the decisions in Brussels regarding possible punitive tariffs and is therefore not yet final. Xpeng is currently targeting 43,600 euros for the basic version. (aum/ww)
