Andreas Mayer, responsible for the Abarth, Fiat and Fiat Professional brands in Germany, expects a slight increase in registrations for the current year. The launch of the new Panda, of which an entire family with five variants is planned worldwide, should also help. The electric Abarth 600e will also go on sale this year. From 2030 onwards, the brand wants to sell only electric models, even if registrations are currently still suffering from the end of subsidies. "The sales figures for the Fiat 500 Electric are not yet back at the previous year's level due to the lack of the BAFA subsidy. However, we can see that they are currently picking up."
This year, however, Fiat will be saying goodbye to the 500 with combustion engine, production of which will be discontinued. New cars are still available at dealerships, but, according to Mayer, "you have to hurry, as there are not many new cars left on the market in Europe." (aum/ww)
