Mazda increases sales by twelve percent

Mazda sold 1.24 million vehicles worldwide in the financial year ending March. This is twelve percent more than in the previous year. Net sales increased by 26 percent to the equivalent of 30.7 billion euros. The bottom line is a net profit of 1.3 billion euros. This is almost half (45 percent) more than in the previous financial year.

Mazda sold around 180,000 cars in Europe between April 2023 and March 2024. That is an increase in sales of 13 percent. In Germany, the largest single market in the region, the brand achieved 46,000 new registrations (up 23 percent). In North America, sales rose by 26 percent. It remains the most important sales region with 514,000 vehicles. Growth was driven by the newly launched CX-70 and CX-90 models and the continued success of the Mazda CX-50.

In the Japanese domestic market, the company sold 160,000 vehicles in the past financial year (-3.0%). China, Mazda's largest market in Asia, closed the financial year with an increase of 15 percent to 97,000 units. (aum)
