Mahle Behr and Forvia Hella have completed the sale of their respective 50 percent shares in the german Behr-Hella Thermocontrol joint venture. The new owner of BHTC is the AUO Cooperation. A corresponding agreement had already been reached in October last year. The reason for this is a change of control clause in the joint venture agreement after Forvia (formerly: Faurecia) had acquired the majority shares in Forvia Hella. The total purchase price is based on an enterprise value of 600 million euros.
BHTC, headquartered in Lippstadt, is a leader in the field of climate control and a specialist for system solutions in the HMI (human-machine interface) sector. The company currently employs around 3100 people worldwide and generated a turnover of 634 million euros last year. (aum)
