The GT family from AMG is growing

Mercedes-AMG will launch the GT 43 Coupé on the market this summer. The lightweight four-cylinder engine produces 421 hp at 6750 rpm and develops a maximum torque of 500 Newton meters, which is available between 3250 and 5000 rpm. Power is transmitted exclusively to the rear axle. The electric turbocharger is based on a Formula 1 model and stands for particularly spontaneous response. The turbocharger is operated via the 48-volt on-board electrical system, which also feeds the belt-driven starter generator (RSG), which generates an additional 14 hp (ten kW) for a short time.

From a standing start, the AMG GT 43 accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The top speed is 280 km/h. The Airpanel active air control system improves aerodynamics and engine cooling. The horizontal louvres behind the upper air intake are opened or closed electronically depending on the speed. (aum)
